Cajun Mushroom Melt is a hearty, flavour-packed open sandwich made with earthy mushrooms sautéed in Urban Platter Cajun Spice Seasoning, oregano, and black pepper. The mixture of garlic and onions adds depth, while creamy smashed avocado provides a fresh, velvety base. Toasted sourdough, brushed with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, delivers the perfect crisp contrast. Finished with a layer of mozzarella that melts into the warm avocado and spicy mushrooms, this dish is comforting yet vibrant. Garnished with fresh coriander, it’s a wholesome, satisfying meal ideal for breakfast, brunch, or a quick gourmet snack.
Ingredients

1 Onion (finely chopped)

10 Garlic cloves (finely chopped)

2 cups Mushroom (sliced)

1⁄2 cup Mozzarella Cheese

2 Avocado

1 tsp Oregano

1 tsp Black Pepper Powder

1 tbsp Urban Platter Cajun Spice Seasoning

4 tbsp Urban Platter Extra Virgin Olive Oil

2 Sourdough Bread slices
Directions
Heat Urban Platter Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a pan. Add garlic, onions and saute for 2-3 minutes.
Add sliced mushroom followed by Urban Platter Cajun Spice seasoning, oregano, Black pepper Powder and cook well for 3-4 minutes.
Meanwhile spoon out the flesh from the avocado and place it in a bowl and smash it
Now toast the sourdough bread slices with Urban Platter Extra Virgin Olive Oil until golden and crisp
Spread the smashed avocado onto each slice of bread. Add Mozzarella Cheese on top of it and finish each slice with a few spoons of the cooked mushrooms.
Garnish with coriander leaves and it's ready to serve.
