Firecracker Ramen is a bold, flavour-loaded noodle bowl made for spice lovers. A fiery blend of garlic, ginger, onion, and Urban Platter gochujang is sautéed in Chiu Chow chilli oil to create a deeply aromatic base. Simmered with water and creamy coconut milk, the broth turns rich, spicy, and comforting all at once. Poured over soft udon noodles and finished with spring onions, sesame seeds, and crisp nori, this ramen delivers heat, umami, and indulgence in every spoonful—perfect for a warming, restaurant-style meal at home.
Ingredients

10-12 Garlic Cloves

1 Red Onion (quartered)

10g Ginger (cut into large pieces)

2 tbsp Urban Platter Gochujang Dipping Sauce

3 tbsp Urban Platter Chiu Chow Chilli Oil

2 cups Water
-
100ml Urban Platter Coconut Milk

1 packet Urban Platter Udon Noodles

1 tsp Spring Onion (sliced, for garnish)

1 tsp Black and White Sesame Seeds (for garnish)

1 Nori Sheet (cut into squares, for garnish)
Directions
Blend together the garlic, onion, ginger, and Gochujang sauce until a smooth paste is formed.
In a saucepan, heat up the Chiu Chow Chilli Oil and saute for 1-2 minutes.
Add in the paste, and cook for 3-5 minutes.
Pour in the water and coconut milk, and let it come to a boil.
Place the Udon Noodles in a serving bowl of choice, and ladle the Firecracker broth over it.
Garnish with the spring onions, sesame seeds and nori sheet squares, and serve hot!
