Delicate, fragrant, and irresistibly indulgent, Gulkand Modak is a fusion dessert that celebrates the essence of roses. Soft crumbled paneer blended with aromatic rose sharbat creates a melt-in-the-mouth outer layer, while a luscious gulkand filling adds natural sweetness and floral richness at the center. Shaped into elegant modaks and garnished with dried rose petals, this no-cook treat is as beautiful as it is delicious. Lightly chilled before serving, Gulkand Modak makes a refreshing festive sweet, perfect for special occasions or when you crave something unique and soothing.
Ingredients
-
200g Paneer
-
1 tbsp Rose Sharbat
-
3-4 tbsp Gulkand
-
2 tbsp Dried Rose Petals (for garnish)
Directions
In a large plate, crumble the paneer and mix with the Rose Sharbat until fully incorporated.
When the mixture forms a dough-like consistency, divide into 50-60g balls, and press into an oiled modak mould.
Make a well in the center, and add a dollop of the Gulkand into it.
Seal it well with some more of the dough mixture, and release from the mould.
Garnish with a sprinkle of the Dried Rose Petals, chill for 1-2 hours in the refrigerator, before serving.
