Matcha Modak is a modern twist on the classic festive sweet, combining traditional indulgence with subtle earthy flavours. Made using culinary grade matcha powder, milk, ghee, and milk powder, these modaks have a smooth, rich texture with a naturally vibrant green hue. Ingredients

1 tsp Culinary Grade Matcha Powder

120g Milk

2 tbsp Ghee

2-3 tbsp Caster Sugar

450g Milk Powder

50g Jamun Chia Seed Jam
Directions
In a kadai, heat the milk, Matcha Powder powder, sugar and ghee, on a low flame until the sugar and matcha powder has completely dissolved.
Add in the milk powder and mix continuously until a dough is formed.
Remove from the flame, and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes.
Divide the mixture into balls, and place into the oiled modak mould.
Make a cavity in the center using a chopstick, and fill with the Jamun Chia Seed Jam.
Seal shut, un-mould the modak, serve immediately and enjoy!
