Ingredients

1.5 cups fardh seedless dates
- 2 cups hot water
- ½ cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon pomegranate molasses
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg powder
- ¼ teaspoon ginger powder
- ¼ teaspoon coriander powder
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Ice cubes
- Sparkling water
Directions
Add the dates to a mixing bowl and pour in the hot water. Soak for 30 minutes or until softened.
Transfer the soaked dates along with the soaking water into a blender.
Add orange juice, lemon juice, pomegranate molasses, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, coriander, vanilla extract, and salt to the blender.
Blend until completely smooth.
Strain the mixture through a fine sieve, discarding any remaining fiber.
Pour the strained liquid into a saucepan and place over medium heat. Stir frequently, bring to a boil, and let it simmer for 15 minutes until dark and thick.
Transfer to a container and let it cool completely.
To serve, fill a glass with ice cubes, pour in 2-3 tablespoons of the date cola syrup, and top with sparkling water.
Stir well and enjoy!
