It has a nutty flavour and can be used as a finishing and seasoning oil and on salad dressing or stir-fries. The difference between raw sesame oil and roasted sesame oil is that raw sesame oil has a light texture while roasted sesame oil is dark in colour and has a distinctive nutty flavour. Since it has a low smoke point it is not used for cooking. Toasted sesame oil is a great addition to your pantry for authentic Asian cuisine.
