We are looking for an experienced Global Sourcing Manager to own end-to-end imports operations for Urban Platter. This role is central to our international sourcing engine — managing vendor relationships across multiple geographies, driving cost efficiency, and ensuring seamless inbound supply to support our fast-growing business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage end-to-end procurement for imported SKUs across multiple international sourcing geographies
Own vendor relationships — negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms with international suppliers
Plan and raise purchase orders aligned with demand forecasts, reorder levels, and buffer stock norms
Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and CHA for timely clearance of shipments
Ensure full compliance with FSSAI import regulations, BIS norms, and other statutory requirements for food and specialty products
Track shipments from origin to warehouse and maintain real-time visibility on ETA and delays
Monitor landed cost per SKU and identify levers to improve cost efficiency (ocean vs air, consolidation, HS code optimisation)
Manage import documentation — Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, COA, FSS certificates, and other compliance docs
Build and maintain a vendor performance tracker covering quality, fill rate, lead time adherence, and pricing
Support new product launches by identifying and onboarding international suppliers for pipeline SKUs

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
1–5 years of experience in global sourcing or imports procurement, preferably in food, FMCG, or specialty products
Strong working knowledge of import regulations — FSSAI, customs classification (HS codes), duty structures, and incoterms
Hands-on experience coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners
Proficiency in Excel — comfortable with PO tracking, landed cost models, and stock sufficiency analysis
Strong vendor negotiation skills and the ability to manage multi-currency, multi-timezone supplier relationships
